WRITTEN BY BREYA SANAY
It's so hard to focus on the images we see through a cell phone screen and not the image we see through a reflection. I'm sure we have all fallen victim to it, including myself. We spend all of this time on the internet comparing our bodies, lifestyles, and other ideal made up things and comparing them to what society has programmed our minds into thinking there is only one standard of beauty. Sometimes we tend to forget that we are the own writers of lives and self proclamation is one of the first steps towards self confidence.
Start putting into the universe exactly what you want to be and eventually the rest will follow. Take Miami rapper & cultural icon Trina, for example. She has created a bold and expressive title to elevate her self esteem and eventually, the world followed. If you see yourself as the baddestb**** , start telling yourself that every morning when you wake up, whether it's to yourself in the mirror, or to your followers in a post. Everything is in the power of the tongue and self esteem starts with the words that you say to yourself, those words affirming who you are, who you want to be, and who you are going to be. From the great words of the Queen Bey herself " some call it arrogance, I call it confidence" and baby style is nothing without confidence.
I hope this post has reminded all of you baddies that you are THAT GIRL ! Now go tell the world, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise because the girls that get it, GET IT!
